New Works:

A song cycle, "Red Sea (Song of the Earth)", libretto by Margaret Sweatman, music by Glenn Buhr, will premier at Toronto Summer Music Festival (along with Mahler's "Song of the Earth"). Mezzo soprano Roxana Constantinescu and the TSM Festival Ensemble. Saturday August 7th, 2010. This live performance will be recorded by CBC Radio.

Sweatman's new short work called "The Audition: A Scene from the Sad Tragedy of Joey McMann" will be produced as part of FemFest, at the CanWest Centre for Theatre and Film, in Winnipeg, Monday September 25th at 7:00 p.m.
The short plays and scenes produced for this evening will be published in September as an anthology called "Generation Nexxt: Contemporary Scenes for Young Women."

The Players selected as one of the Globe and Mail’s Top 100 Best Books of 2009.
